Manufacturing addition
SaarGummi is a leading manufacturer of innovative sealing systems for the automotive industry. In 2009 and 2011, Brindley Construction performed plant renovations and expansions that included two design-build pre-engineered metal building additions.
The 68,000-square-foot facility addition consisted of a manufacturing and warehouse area. The new space is comprised of two connected buildings along the east and north sides of the original facility. The scope of services included architectural, structural and civil drawings, and site work. Our team also completed concrete dock pits, lift and roll doors, dock levelers, a fire protection system tied to the city main, water and sewer piping, new gas piping, and the complete installation of two 20-ton gas packs.
In addition to the hi-bay fluorescent lighting, Brindley installed three 200 amp electrical panels and two 75 kVA transformers with conduits. Due to the planning and organization by the Brindley team, the building was completed ahead of schedule, enabling increased production at the facility.
Plant renovations included two design-build pre-engineered metal buildings.
Lifting HVAC unity by helicopter was just part of the process used during the project.
