Bank renovation

First National Bank contacted Brindley Construction about a renovation to help improve customer service with the goal of elevating their stature in the community. The renovation needed to happen while the bank remained fully operational so as not to disrupt customers’ ability to do their banking.

The first step was to move every employee to several temporary locations throughout the building so that work could begin on the 50,000-square-foot space. Our team’s goal was to preserve significant historic elements of the bank while adapting the space to today’s needs. The project included extensive renovation of three floors of office space, as well as a fully-functional theatre and stage area.

The project also included the replacement of an older single-pane window wall with a modern insulated, low-e coated curtain wall system, thereby solving thermal and glare problems in the main lobby. The aggressive schedule and safety of every customer was of utmost importance to our team. Despite schedule challenges, the Brindley team was able to complete this $2.6 million project ahead of schedule and in time for the bank’s stockholder meeting.

This project was awarded the 2009 National Pyramid Award for Excellence in Construction for Renovation Projects Less Than $4 Million by the Associated Builders and Contractors (ABC).
