A True Design-Build Project

A project that began February 1, 2024, was successfully completed in nine months. The Brindley Construction and Ace Hardware teams celebrated with a ribbon cutting on November 22, 2024. This pre-engineered 15,000-square-foot metal building fulfills a need the Lawrence County community has been missing. The modernization and customization that was included with this design-build allowed for maximum utilization of space and a cohesive retail floor plan to ensure easy navigation and organization.

From developing a scope of work based on a simple picture and a box to creating a cost-effective budget, Project Manager, Jeff Brindley, headed this true design-build project. The efficiency of the building is a unique feature of this project. For example, the perimeter walls were lined with metal sheeting instead of sheet rock because it was going to be covered by retail shelving. The collaboration between the owners and the Brindley team made this a successfully executed project that maximized cost efficiency and customer satisfaction.
